Adriaan Hanekom has an electrical-engineering background and studied at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, qualifying around 2006. More than 17 years of work within the abalone industry gave him direct experience of water-dependent operations where pumps, machinery, electrical supply, controls and energy systems must work together.
That experience helped shape CES as a multidisciplinary engineering business. Adriaan leads the current operation from Gansbaai, keeping engineering judgement, site coordination and practical implementation connected through one accountable team.

Based in Gansbaai, CES supports homes, businesses and operations across the Overberg, with larger projects considered beyond the region.
A real local workshop keeps the team close to the equipment, sites and customers it supports.
